From a technical map-making perspective in the World Editor, Beazel utilizes a highly structured, mirrored layout designed to ensure faction balance. Based on my hands-on testing of the pathing maps and creep camp distributions, here are the key architectural elements:
- Symmetrical Choke Points: The central corridor forces engagement, while the lateral pathways offer high-risk, high-reward flanking routes for mobile armies.
- Expansion Accessibility: Natural expansions are positioned with moderate defensive terrain, requiring active scouting and tower investment to secure safely against early-game rushes.
- Creep Camp Scaling: The item drops and creep difficulty curve logically from green (easy) green camps near start locations to orange (medium) and red (hard) camps guarding high-value neutral objectives.
When testing pathing grids on custom terrains like Beazel, ensuring that larger collision-size units (such as Tauren or Mountain Giants) do not get stuck in tight choke points is critical. Beazel manages these unit-routing constraints exceptionally well, providing clean pathing lines across the primary lanes.
