Heroes of Newerth Beta Key Giveaway Week

During my time covering the competitive MOBA scene, February 2010 stood out as a pivotal moment for Heroes of Newerth (HoN). As the game transitioned through its closed beta phase, access was highly coveted. To help the community, HoN Updates launched a specific initiative: Give a HoN Invite to a Friend Week.
From February 16 to February 23, 2010, the organizers distributed beta keys to help expand the player base. Based on my experience tracking these community events, participation required direct engagement via their official social media channel:
