God of War 3 Godly Possessions: A Comprehensive Guide
The Godly Possessions are unique, hidden artifacts scattered throughout God of War 3. Once you have completed the main story, these items can be equipped to act as "cheats," significantly altering gameplay mechanics. For further assistance, explore our God of War 3 Cheats and Codes or browse our complete library of God of War 3 Tutorials.
How to Use Godly Possessions
To access these items, you must first complete the game. Once finished, start a new game on any difficulty. You can activate your collected possessions by opening the Weapons/Items menu (press Select). Navigate to the tab containing your Gorgon Eyes and Minotaur Horns; your collected Godly Possessions will appear here. Simply toggle them to "On."
Important Caveats for Players:
- Trophy Disablement: Activating any Godly Possession or Costume will immediately disable Trophies for the remainder of your playthrough. This effect is permanent for that save file, even if you toggle the item off later.
- Progression: Equipping these items does not grant you your previously upgraded weapons; you must still progress through the game to acquire and upgrade your arsenal.

Locations Guide
Finding these items requires careful exploration during specific story chapters:
- Zeus' Eagle: Located at the Heart of Gaia. In front of the heart, climb the vines up and to the right to grab it.
- Hades' Helm: After defeating Hades, dive into the River Styx and swim to the bottom to retrieve it.
- Helios' Shield: Found on the ground immediately to the right of Helios' corpse after the boss fight.
- Hermes' Coin: After riding the boulder from the catapult, search the right side of the massive statue's decapitated head.
- Hercules' Shoulder Guard: Dive beneath Hercules' floating corpse after defeating him.
- Poseidon's Conch Shell: Before exiting the Poseidon Princesses' chamber, check the pillows on the right side.
- Aphrodite's Garter: In Aphrodite's chamber, look for a glint of light on a platform behind the bed. Double-jump and float into the secret area to collect it.
- Hephaestus' Ring: After the encounter with Hephaestus, search the far left side of the area near the blocked doorway that previously led to Tartarus.
- Daedalus' Schematics: This requires a specific sequence: Pull the right-hand lever, shoot the gate with the ballista, and fire the harpoon through the portal. Use the Boots of Hermes to run up the wall into the gold portal on the right. Pull the lever there, return below, and use the ballista to break the link holding the chests.
- Hera's Chalice: After the cutscene at the maze entrance, save your game and search the ground just to the left of the save point.
