God of War 3 Treasure Chest Locations

God of War 3 Treasure Chest Guide

Kratos' final journey from the depths of Hades to the summit of Mount Olympus is fraught with peril, but thorough exploration is your greatest asset. Maximizing your health and magic meters via Gorgon Eyes, Phoenix Feathers, and Minotaur Horns is essential for surviving the higher difficulty settings. Having played through the campaign multiple times, I have compiled this field guide to ensure you don't miss these critical upgrades or the elusive Godly Possessions. Use the Head of Helios frequently; if you see "gold dust" particles, it is almost always a hidden chest waiting to be revealed.

Zeus’ Eagle – The Heart of Gaia

When you reach the heart of Gaia, climb the vines before interacting with the large slab. You will find an area featuring murals of Zeus’ childhood; the Eagle is located here.

Gorgon Eye #1 – The Realm of Hades

Located just after the first blade grapple following the Hyperion Gate. Look around the corner from the two Red Orb chests before you begin climbing the column.

Phoenix Feather #1 – The Depths of Hades

Immediately after acquiring the Bow of Apollo, you will encounter dogs. Use a charged arrow shot to ignite the Bramble above. Move the Bramble pot to create a heat vent for your Icarus wings, then glide to the ledge where the branches previously blocked your path.

Minotaur Horn #1 – The Depths of Hades

Found shortly after the first feather. After burning the Bramble to reveal a save altar, the next room contains more Bramble directly ahead. It is positioned between a blue chest and a green chest; burn the obstruction to access the item.

Gorgon Eye #2 – The Depths of Hades

As you scale the cliffside ruins, head to the far left before completing the ascent. You will find this chest tucked behind a small, clear waterfall.

Gorgon Eye #3 – The Three Judges

After double-grappling to the platform with the Three Judges of Hades, head left. Jump across the broken walkway to find the chest situated between two Red Orb chests.

Minotaur Horn #2 – The Three Judges

Visible from the save altar in the main area. After the trials, proceed through a Hyperion Gate. You will fight Minotaurs using Bramble pots as explosives. Immediately to the right after the tunnel, there is another Hyperion Gate off-camera; pass through it to locate this chest.

Phoenix Feather #2 – Hades Arm Room

Upon completing the Bramble/Icarus Wings puzzle using the timed elevator, a door opens. You will find the chest inside, adjacent to a Red Orb chest.

Gorgon Eye #4 – The Forge

After your dialogue with Hephaestus, head left past the water pool. There is a locked door with the chest positioned immediately to its left.

Hades Helm – Hades’ Throne Room

After defeating the lord of the underworld, you gain the ability to swim the River Styx. Dive to the riverbed to recover the helm.

Gorgon Eye #5 & Minotaur Horn #3 – The City of Olympia

After passing through the door of Olympia, use Harpies to cross two chasms. After the second chasm, grab another Harpy and direct it to the right and upward. You will find one Red Orb chest bookended by these two item chests.

Helios Shield – The City of Olympia

After obtaining Helios’ head, his shield is located immediately to the right of the burning chariot.

Minotaur Horn #4 – The City of Olympia

South of the shield, walk toward the near-right corner of the platform. You will notice "gold dust" particulate distortion; shine the Head of Helios in that area to reveal the chest.

Gorgon Eye #6 – The Path of Eos

A few dozen paces before the save altar on the left-hand side, look for a dark alcove. A flash of light from the Helios head will reveal the chest.

Phoenix Feather #3 – The Path of Eos

When you reach the rope used to cross the chasm, drop down the ledge first. Climb to the bottom to find a Red Orb chest and the feather chest.

Gorgon Eye #7 – The Path of Eos

After crossing the chasm via Harpy, head up the small hill where the large chain becomes visible. Ahead, you will see Blue and Green Orb chests. To the right, destroy the scaffolding; behind it, use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal the chest.

Phoenix Feather #4 – The Path of Eos

After ascending the chute via Icarus Wings and passing the lava Titan, you will encounter cylindrical platforming. Eventually, you will move to the right toward a platform with gold dust near a potted flame. Use the Head of Helios to reveal the chest.

Minotaur Horn #5 – The Caverns

On the first wooden platform you land on, look for gold dust in the near-right corner. Shine the light of Helios to reveal the chest.

Gorgon Eye #8 – The Flame of Olympus

Before approaching the flame, walk around the circumference of the room to illuminate the paintings. On the opposite side, near the chain, use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal a small room containing three Red Orb chests and the eye chest.

Hermes’ Coin – The Olympian Citadel

After racing Hermes and toppling the Athena statue, you can find his coin to the right of her head.

Phoenix Feather #5 – The Olympian Citadel

After crossing the bridge in the rain and performing the Hermes run across the ornate architecture, you will reach a balcony. In the corner, use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal the chest.

Minotaur Horn #6 – The Olympian Citadel

After battling the three large monsters with spiked maces in front of the great door, head left. You will find this chest in plain view beside a Red Orb chest.

Phoenix Feather #6 – The Muse Chamber

In the room with the music controls, there are two heat vents. The leftmost platform contains a feather chest.

Gorgon Eye #9 – The Forum

After turning the crank and moving the flame, a door opens. Clear the archers and the hallway. At the bottom of the long spiral staircase near the save altar, use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal the chest.

Hercules’ Shoulder Guard – Below the Forum

After defeating Hercules, you can find his shoulder guard by diving to the bottom of the water below his body.

Minotaur Horn #7 – Poseidon’s Chamber

After flipping the switch to open the watery chamber near Hercules' body, swim up through the portal. Move toward the camera to reveal a horn chest next to a Red Orb chest.

Poseidon’s Conch Shell – Poseidon’s Chamber

After the cutscene where the princess runs through the Hyperion gate, look to the right of the gate to find the shell.

Gorgon Eye #10 – Poseidon’s Chamber

Located just below the conch shell position.

Phoenix Feather #7 – Poseidon’s Chamber

After speaking with Pandora’s statue, turn right. Shine the light of Helios upon the gold dust to reveal this chest.

Minotaur Horn #8 – Aphrodite’s Chamber

Located to the right of the top of the stairs, in the corner in plain view.

Aphrodite’s Garter – Aphrodite’s Chamber

Stick to the left side of the room, double jump, and glide behind the bed to find this item.

Phoenix Feather #8 – Tartarus

Just after the viewing point of Tartarus, you will see a chest on the right containing a feather.

Gorgon Eye #11 – Gates of Tisiphone

Once you have pulled all four blocks to access the centerpiece, head to the top-right balcony to find this chest alongside a Red Orb chest.

Phoenix Feather #9 – Tartarus

After opening the Gates of Tisiphone, you will see a save altar; the chest is located directly across from it on the left.

Hephaestus’ Ring – The Forge

After the encounter with Hephaestus, find his ring near the small pool to the left.

Minotaur Horn #9 – The Upper Gardens

In the ballista and portal puzzle room, turn the ballista 90 degrees left and fire. Follow the rope through the portals. Once you reach the platform with the Red Orb chest, double jump and glide back toward the rope to continue. Drop down at the end for the horn chest.

Gorgon Eye #12 – The Upper Gardens

Flip the lever on the right side of the room to raise the ballista platform. Fire the missile and follow the rope to the end to find the eye chest.

Daedalus’ Schematics & Phoenix Feather #10 – The Upper Gardens

With the platform raised, fire the ballista to break the gate. Hermes run up the wall to the right, flip the lever, and go through the portal. Fire the ballista again to break the chain suspending these chests.

Minotaur Horn #10 – The Upper Gardens

After descending the pole, backtrack slightly. The horn and Red Orb chests are hidden out of the initial camera view.

Hera’s Chalice – Olympus Gardens

Found just to the left of the save altar near where Hera drops it during the cutscene.

Phoenix Feather #11 – Olympus Gardens

From the Hera save altar, head up and to the right. Use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal the feather chest.

Gorgon Eye #13 – Olympus Gardens

After the gate closes in the indoor corridor and you defeat the enemies, proceed through the next gate and head right. Use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal the chest.

Minotaur Horn #11 – Olympus Gardens

After the first optical puzzle and climbing the stairs, head toward the gate and down the ladder. Jump to the left toward the open door instead of across the chasm to find this chest.

Gorgon Eye #14 – Cavern’s Hidden Passageway

After crossing the chasm via Harpies, you will reach a save point. The opposite platform has gold dust; use the Head of Helios to reveal the eye chest.

Phoenix Feather #12 – Cavern’s Hidden Passageway

Located just before the elevator, to the left, after fighting the scorpions.

Minotaur Horn #12 & Gorgon Eye #15 – The Caverns

Found on the platform directly ahead when you enter the caverns. They are slightly off-camera after the battle.

Phoenix Feather #13 – The Caverns

After revealing the hidden door near the save altar, enter the water room. Jump out and to the right to find the chest.

Minotaur Horn #13 – The Caverns

Instead of the vertical Hermes run, follow the wooden path to a stone area. The horn chest is located between two Red Orb chests.

Phoenix Feather #14 – The Caverns

After obtaining the Boreas Icestorm, use it to create a heat vent. Glide to the next platform, but ignore the lock. Jump to the next platform and use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal the feather chest.

Mystery Chest #1 – The Caverns

After the Daedalus encounter, turn right. Down the path, you will find two Red Orb chests and a mystery chest.

Gorgon Eye #16 – The Labyrinth

In the second room, use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to the left to reveal the chest.

Phoenix Feather #15 – The Labyrinth

When using the Boreas Icestorm to rotate the room, this chest is next to a Red Orb chest and a flame thrower. Use the dash maneuver to open it safely.

Minotaur Horn #14 – The Labyrinth

Move the weight to the leftmost wall near the Boreas Icestorm lock, trigger it, then move the weight toward the camera. Use the weight to jump to the ledge, then glide to the raised platform on the other side of the room.

Gorgon Eye #17 – The Labyrinth

After exiting Pandora’s cage, head to the right. Use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to reveal the chest.

Mystery Chest #2 – The Labyrinth

After saving Pandora from the water trap, shine the Head of Helios on the gold dust to the right before picking her up.

Phoenix Feather #16 – The Labyrinth

After protecting Pandora from the enemy horde, use the Head of Helios to reveal a feather chest on the right side of the room.

Mystery Chest #3, #4 & #5 – Top of the Labyrinth

Before initiating the cutscene with Pandora, look around the area. Three chests are hidden here; use the Head of Helios to reveal them.

Mystery Chest #6 – The Three Judges

After the gauntlet of creatures, jump across the broken walkway to find this chest between two Red Orb chests.

Mystery Chest #7 – The Three Judges

Located opposite the save altar; use the Head of Helios on the gold dust.

Mystery Chest #8 – The Three Judges

After the first portal, this chest is to the right of the viewpoint overlooking the judges. Use the Head of Helios.

Mystery Chest #9 – The Three Judges

After breaking the second onyx crystal, pass through the tunnel. Use the Head of Helios on the gold dust to the left.

Mystery Chest #10 – The Three Judges

Before climbing down for the final onyx crystal, head to the portal on the opposite side of the platform to find this chest.

Mystery Chest #11, #12 & #13 – Top of the Labyrinth

Return to the top of the Labyrinth before the grapple. The chests from the previous visit have returned; reveal all three with the Head of Helios.

Mystery Chest #14 – Chamber of the Flame

On the opposite side of the room, the alcove contains returned chests. Two additional Red Orb chests are located behind the onyx crystal.

Dota Mana Bars - Warcraft 3 Manabars

Learn how to use the Dota Mana Bars tool for Warcraft 3. Get practical setup tips, compatibility warnings for Garena and B.Net, and essential usage caveats. Dota Mana Bars is a classic utility designed for Warcraft III that overlays mana bars directly beneath unit health bars. Having spent years playing competitive DotA, I have found this tool to be an essential visual aid, particularly when playing mana-dependent heroes like Anti-Mage or Nerubian Assassin . By tracking opponent mana pools in real-time, you can more effectively time your mana burn abilities and engagement windows. In my experience, this tool functions reliably during LAN games . However, users should exercise caution regarding platform compatibility. Many players have reported that injecting this tool into the game client causes Warcraft to crash when playing on Garena or B.Net . Furthermore, because this utility provides a significant information advantage not present in the base game, many competitive tourn...
