As expected, Valve has just announced Dota 2 – that's capital D, lower-cased ota – its "massive sequel for one of the most played games in the world." There aren't many details in the short press release found after the break, save for its platforms -- Mac and PC -- and its release window of 2011. Read more »

Icefrog posted a blog on playdota.com telling us that Game Informer will post an article about Valve's next upcoming game which Icefrog and his team have been working on over the last year. His blog entry was confirmed by Game Informer saying that they visited Valve last week to check out on the new game which has remained a mystery.
