Master Warcraft 3 camera control with Simple Camera. Learn how to use First Person mode, manage replays, and troubleshoot.

Simple Camera is a specialized plugin designed to bypass the standard Warcraft 3 camera restrictions, granting you complete freedom over your viewing perspective. Having used this tool extensively for cinematic projects, I have found it to be the gold standard for creating high-quality replay content, similar to the iconic movies produced by Leonidas (PizzaSlice). My personal favorite feature is the First Person mode; it transforms the RTS experience by mapping mouse movement to your view and keyboard inputs to movement, effectively turning the game into an FPS-style experience.

Please note that these camera modifications are exclusively functional while watching a recorded replay. Installation

1. Download and install ReplaySeeker as the base framework.
2. Download the SimpleCamera.zip plugin.
3. Extract the .dll file and place it directly into the Plugins-folder within your ReplaySeeker directory.
4. The plugin will initialize upon your next session.

Usage info The plugin automatically persists your settings, hotkeys, and bookmarks upon closing. Movement keys provide a much smoother panning experience than the default arrow keys, and the rotation functionality allows for unrestricted 360-degree camera angles. The "Toggle follow" feature functions similarly to the native "Auto Camera" mode. To use it, select a unit and trigger the hotkey; the camera will lock onto that unit. You can then orbit or zoom freely. If you activate the "Lock facing" hotkey while following, the camera will snap to match the unit’s current orientation. In First Person mode, the mouse cursor is locked to the center of the screen, allowing for fluid, shooter-style camera navigation. Todo-list

Problems Simple Camera is a complex memory-hooking tool and may occasionally fail to attach to the Warcraft 3 process, resulting in an error code. If this occurs, a simple restart of both Warcraft 3 and ReplaySeeker usually resolves the conflict. If issues persist, please document the specific error code or provide the replay file for analysis. Please be aware that the tool is optimized for DotA; while it may function with other maps, performance may vary based on map size.
