New DotA AI Developer is Harreke, Thanks BMP

The DotA AI community is entering a new chapter of development. Following the official retirement of BuffMePlz (BMP), who served as the primary architect for our AI map experiences, the torch has been passed to Harreke. Having personally tracked the evolution of these scripts, I can confirm that Harreke brings a background in researching AI map technologies, ensuring the project remains in capable hands after BuffMePlz has retired and God-Tony refused to take over the mantle. BMP’s proactive efforts in vetting a successor ensure that the complex AI logic required for DotA continues to evolve.

Icefrog statement regarding this matter

First I want to thank BMP for all his work on the AI maps. He has worked hard to make DotA players happy, so please show him your appreciation.

As some of you might know, BMP has retired from AI map development, and has finally located a successor to continue the development; Harreke. Harreke has been researching AI map technology for a while now and has been following BMP's work. He is dedicated to building the new AI maps based on BMP's code and to expand the map development process to allow for faster updates for future versions.

He expects to release DotA 6.67c AI soon and then prepare for the DotA 6.68 AI map.

We owe a debt of gratitude to BuffMePlz for his years of technical contribution to the DotA community. His work in establishing the framework for AI behavior has been foundational. As we transition to Harreke’s development cycle, we anticipate a focus on stability and performance optimizations.

Update
The DotA 6.67b AI Map (v06/11/2010) serves as a critical patch, addressing specific stability issues identified in the initial DotA 6.67b AI Map (v06/07/2010).

Harreke is currently iterating on these builds to ensure a stable environment before moving forward with the highly anticipated DotA 6.67c AI and the subsequent DotA 6.68 AI release.

Dota Mana Bars - Warcraft 3 Manabars

Learn how to use the Dota Mana Bars tool for Warcraft 3. Get practical setup tips, compatibility warnings for Garena and B.Net, and essential usage caveats. Dota Mana Bars is a classic utility designed for Warcraft III that overlays mana bars directly beneath unit health bars. Having spent years playing competitive DotA, I have found this tool to be an essential visual aid, particularly when playing mana-dependent heroes like Anti-Mage or Nerubian Assassin . By tracking opponent mana pools in real-time, you can more effectively time your mana burn abilities and engagement windows. In my experience, this tool functions reliably during LAN games . However, users should exercise caution regarding platform compatibility. Many players have reported that injecting this tool into the game client causes Warcraft to crash when playing on Garena or B.Net . Furthermore, because this utility provides a significant information advantage not present in the base game, many competitive tourn...
